I currently book anywhere from 200-300 gigs per year, personally, divied up between weddings, corporate, nightclubs and professional sporting events and I have to have an advanced sales call with clients less than 5% of the time. Over 95% of my clients, if I'm available, ask for a contract with no advance consult at all. I achieve this by focussing on four areas, programming (music,) promotion, presentation and relationships.
In this class you will learn:
Programming: High level programming techniques to wow your dance floor, including what music you play and how and when you play it. The class will take a deeper dive into programming than my 2021 mainstage presentation.
Promotion: How to promote yourself properly via social media (IG, Tik Tok, etc,) DJ mixes and other avenues.
Presentation: How to present yourself (and your gear) for success.
Relationships: How to build and foster fruitful relationships with industry professionals.
